Angel’s Island Named Best Coffee Shop in Huntsville by Huntsville Explorer
After 15 rounds and over 1,800 votes, we’re excited to announce that our audience has named Angel’s Island the best coffee shop in Huntsville.
We released the bracket on May 30, which featured 16 amazing coffee shops in Huntsville. Our audience went through 15 different rounds of voting to decide on Angel’s Island as the winner.

If you’ve never visited Angel’s Island, it’s located on the Parkway between Martin Road and Byrd Spring Road.
Angel Hussain opened the shop in January 2007, after discovering her love for coffee in Fiji, where her family served as missionaries for over 10 years.
During this time, she learned about coffee and desired to create a place where people could gather, relax, and connect over coffee.
Seventeen years later, she is still bringing great coffee to the Huntsville community.
We’d like to congratulate Angel’s Island on being the winner of our bracket challenge, but also want to give a shoutout to all the other amazing coffee shops that were in the running!
Andrew Smith is the founder of Huntsville Explorer. Born and raised in Huntsville, Andrew has spent his whole life in the Rocket City. He graduated from Auburn University in 2020 and loves exploring all of the new businesses in town!
