Apollo Park Is On Track To Open This Fall at MidCity

City of Huntsville’s Parks and Recreation Director James Gossett confirmed to WAFF earlier this week that construction for Phase 3 of Apollo Park is on track and set to open this fall.
The third phase of the Apollo Park development will be home to 20 acres of recreational space that will include two lagoons for canoeing and kayaking, along with walking trails, a beach area, a fitness court, and tons of green space.
Huntsville’s City Council voted to approve the $7.9 million project last summer.

Phase 1 of Apollo Park was completed in 2017 and added a pond near Topgolf. At its completion, Phase 2 began and successfully developed the southern end of The Orion Amphitheater.
“Apollo Park will provide locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful oasis just steps away from dynamic concerts, sports offerings, restaurants, retail and urban living,” said City Council President John Meredith.
