I tried to include different thrift shops on the list, as I know that a store that’s not my favorite maybe someone else’s favorite, depending on what you’re looking for.

A New Leash on Life is one of the best thrift stores in Huntsville due to its variety of items and charitable mission. It’s filled with donated second-hand goodies, where the profits are used for animals in need. Most thrift stores focus on other causes, but A New Leash on Life aims to save Alabama’s pets from kill shelters and help them find their fur-ever homes.
There are two locations in Huntsville, one on Andrew Jackson and one on 431 near Hampton Cove. I’ve been to both multiple times, and it’s impossible to leave empty-handed.
At a New Leash on Life, you’ll quickly find quality items at fair prices. It’s also always a great feeling to know you are helping the organization care for animals and save lives.

Plenty of folks donate here, so you best believe you’ll find something good! They also regularly offer discounts, so be sure to check back often. I’ve been to The Saving Way a lot over the years, and I usually can find a great deal to leave with.
Of the three Saving Way thrift stores in Huntsville, I prefer the one on University. But the others are definitely worth visiting, too!
The Saving Way is one of the many Huntsville Christian Ministry thrift shops. It donates its proceeds to the Christian Way Ministry, which helps the community in numerous ways.
Sacks on 72

It’s easy to list Sacks on 72 among the best thrift stores in Huntsville. They have a massive warehouse with all the vintage and second-hand goodies you could want. They have hoards of clothes, shoes, hats, cutlery, books, and even electronics!
While opinions may differ, I’ve always found them reasonable, especially considering the quality of my findings. Plus, the staff are downright friendly, making every visit a delight. Sacks on 72 also supports multiple charities.
It can be a little overwhelming when you first walk in, but it’s worth looking through all the stuff. Fun fact: I once bought an old SEGA game cabinet from Sacks on 72.

The good news is that they get heaps of donations, so much so that they keep their prices low to ensure people buy as much as possible. Who doesn’t love a good bargain?
Whether you’re looking for vintage clothing, home decor, or other odds and ends, Asbury is one of my personal favorite thrift stores in Huntsville. It always has good stuff, and the prices are fair.
If you’re wondering what Asbury’s cause is, their proceeds go to numerous ministries and community organizations.

Heads up, the parking lot can be a bit challenging, but it’s worth stopping by if you’ve never been in!

As you step inside this amazing Huntsville thrift store, you’ll be greeted by warm smiles and helpful volunteers eager to assist you in finding vintage treasures. Redstone is an organization dedicated to helping the Military community of Redstone Arsenal.
Every aisle and section is neatly arranged and categorized, making the store easy to navigate and explore. You’ll find everything from clothing and household items to electronics and toys.
Redstone Thrift Store often surprises me with unique and unusual finds. While the prices may not be as low as other thrift stores, I know that I’ll always find something unique here.
Goodwill

Goodwill is easily the most iconic thrift store, known for its charitable mission. I’ve visited their Huntsville location many times over the past few years and always have fun looking through all they have to offer! I’m actually writing this article in an office chair that I bought from Goodwill a few months ago.
Located in a sprawling 21,000-square-foot space, you can spend a decent amount of time looking through the store’s second-hand goods. Thanks to its vast selection of clothing, it’s one of the best thrift stores in Huntsville.
Another standout feature of this Goodwill location is the likelihood of finding high-quality items. From clothing and shoes to furniture and household goods, there are plenty of items to find – and at reasonable prices.
Three Tails Resale

If you’re a pet lover, you’ll definitely want to stop by Three Tails Resale. This Huntsville thrift store was started by the Greater Huntsville Humane Society and all the proceeds go back into supporting the shelter.
The store has all the items you’d expect from a thrift store, plus some great discount days. For example, every Tuesday, visitors that are 55+ will get a 10% discount.
If you don’t qualify for that, no worries. On the last Saturday of every month, there is a $5 bag sale!
