Big Spoon Creamery Set to Open in Huntsville on June 3
A sweet treat is on the horizon for Huntsville, as Big Spoon Creamery, an artisanal ice cream company, is gearing up to open its doors on June 3 and will be located at 201 Jefferson Street North Suite J.
Founded by chefs Geri-Martha and Ryan O’Hara, the creamery has its roots firmly grounded in culinary excellence and a passionate dedication to serving people through the medium of ice cream.
Big Spoon Creamery’s journey began in 2014 with just $500, plenty of hard work, and a couple of prayers. The company’s dream was realized with an old-school ice cream trike and has since grown exponentially, opening stores in Avondale in 2017 and Homewood in 2019.
This June, Huntsville will be the home of its third location, marking another major milestone.
The ice cream served at Big Spoon is the product of artisanal craftsmanship, seasonal flavors, and local ingredients.
Committed to offering the best ice cream in the world, Big Spoon Creamery collaborates with local farmers, artisans, and suppliers to create a menu that truly reflects the region’s offerings in any given season.
However, according to Geri-Martha and Ryan, the heart of Big Spoon Creamery lies in its passion for people and community. Its ultimate aim is to make a positive impact on its team, guests, and community through exceptional products, a nurturing culture, and what they call “unreasonable hospitality”.
We are excited to have Big Spoon Creamery in Huntsville and can’t wait to try it out!
