Kolache Factory Is Set To Open In Huntsville Later This Year
The Kolache Factory, a renowned Texas-based bakery cafe, is set to open its first Alabama location in Huntsville late this summer or early fall.
Huntsville’s Kolache Factory will be a part of The Foundry, an exciting new development near Stovehouse. The Foundry is rapidly growing, recently adding Food City to its roster of businesses.
Upon completion, this vibrant area will feature 342 multifamily apartments, 14 townhouses, a restaurant, and various retail spaces.
The Kolache Factory will be a key addition, located at 3806 Governors Drive, Suite 102 in The Foundry – Building I.
The opening marks a significant expansion for the bakery chain and is the introduction of a unique culinary experience to the Huntsville community.
The opening of the Kolache Factory in Huntsville is spearheaded by retired U.S. Army Major Aaron Hall, a local entrepreneur with a passion for kolaches. His journey with kolaches began in Indianapolis, where he developed a love for these unique pastries.
Kolaches, originally fruit pastries from Eastern Europe, were adapted by Czech immigrants in Texas during the 1850s. These semi-sweet dough pastries now often contain savory fillings like meats, cheeses, and spices.
We are excited to have the Kolache Factory in Huntsville and cannot wait to try it out later this year! Who knows, maybe it’ll become one of the best places to get breakfast in Huntsville!
