Lovers of Greek food rejoice – Huntsville has one of the best Greek restaurants in all of Alabama!

Big Papa Gryo serves classic Mediterranean food for lunch and dinner, dine-in or take-out. But even fussy eaters who enjoy American cuisine will find favorites here, like mozzarella sticks, hamburgers, and paninis.

But let’s talk about the gyros: Gyro meat is featured in almost every section of the menu, including a gyro salad, the Big Papa Gyro Wrap, a moist gyro burger, a chicken gyro, and a hearty veggie gyro wrap.

Can’t decide what to try? Why not go for one of their Combination Plates? Here, you get the best Greek food that Big Papa has to offer.

You’ll love the Mousaka Plate (with eggplant lasagna, grilled beef, and hummus), or try something a bit more fishy like the Baghali Polo Mahi with grilled tilapia.

Another one of Huntsville’s best Greek restaurants is my personal favorite. Taziki’s has been around since 2008 and is the perfect spot for a light lunch or Mediterranean dinner.

They also offer daily specials. My wife’s favorite is the Pasta Salad, which is available Friday through Sunday. It’s easily one of my favorite places to get lunch in Huntsville.

The pita bread with homemade dips (the whipped feta cheese is a must) and Greek salad are great for a healthy snack. But if you arrive hungry, “Build Your Own Feast” by selecting a protein, salad, and side.

This option is also great for those who want gluten-free options. You can select rice or mashed potatoes as a side and skip pita bread or wraps.

If you hate standard menu items and like to create your own dishes, you will love Fresko Grille. They pride themselves on serving “modern Mediterranean” dishes.

Here you get a complete DIY menu where you can select your base, protein, salad, veggies, and sauces to create an incredible Greek feast. You can choose whether you want a wrap or a bowl – both are equally delicious and filling.

My wife and I have been here a few times, and can confidently say it’s one of our favorite Greek restaurants in Huntsville.

There are plenty of proteins available to choose from (because let’s face it – the protein makes the meal). Chicken, beef, kafta kabob, falafel, or grilled veggies – both non-meat-eaters and carnivores can find something they like on the menu.

If you’re a larger group looking for some of the best Greek food in Huntsville, their platters are also a great option. It’s also got a great location at Stovehouse, which also happens to be home to some of the best ice cream in Huntsville.

Jamo’s Cafe and Deli is a fast-food-style eatery serving incredible Greek food. It’s the perfect Greek lunch spot in Huntsville if you’re on the go but looking for some healthy options.

They serve both Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, so get ready for a flavor explosion!

The food here is very unassuming. They serve sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, and some specialty entrees like kabob or gyro meats. If you want something sweet after your meal, you can’t go wrong with the baklava – it will transport you across the ocean with its rich pistachio and sticky-sweet flavors.

Despite being mainly a take-out restaurant, you will find a great atmosphere here if you opt for a sit-down meal. The food is served in to-go containers, but you can settle in on the covered porch with your food and enjoy a delicious meal from one of the best Greek restaurants in Huntsville.

When you read “express” in an eatery’s name, you might think of unhealthy, fatty, and rushed food. But that isn’t the case when it comes to Greek Gyro Express!

Don’t miss this delicious Greek restaurant located within the Firehouse Pub.

Here, you can find healthy Greek food made with love. It caters to the busy worker who has a shorter lunch break or wants some food on the way home from the office.

One thing to note is that it is located on Redstone Arsenal, so you’ll need to have a Arsenal Pass to get to it.

The menu is uncomplicated, with a selection of platters, gyro sandwiches, salads, sides, and some sweets.

What makes Greek Gyro Express one of the best Greek restaurants in Huntsville is that all the food is cooked fresh by a Greek chef who used to work in Athens. It doesn’t get more authentic than that!
